48 Hours in Monaco from Lebanon for $550

 

Have you ever thought about taking a special Christmas trip from Lebanon, experiencing the holiday atmosphere, and still being back to work by Monday?

I know Christmas is still months away, but nothing beats planning ahead.

And after doing the research, I may have found one of the most exciting weekend trips yet.

It is time for Monaco.

Monaco is one of those destinations that feels almost out of reach.

Known for its iconic landmarks, beautiful coastline, and spectacular Mediterranean views, it is a place that many people dream of visiting.

But with careful planning, it might be possible to experience it in just one weekend for around five hundred and fifty dollars.

I found round trip flights from Beirut to Nice for three hundred and forty six dollars, traveling from December eleventh to the thirteenth.

For accommodation, I chose ibis budget Nice Aéroport Promenade des Anglais.

Two nights cost one hundred and nine dollars, with breakfast available for ten dollars.

After arriving in Nice on Friday afternoon, the plan is simple.

Check into the hotel, take the train to Monaco, and spend the evening exploring Monte Carlo.

Walk through the area around the Casino de Monte-Carlo, admire the architecture, and continue to Port Hercules for sunset.

Saturday is dedicated to seeing more of Monaco.

Start in Monaco-Ville, visit the Prince's Palace of Monaco, explore the cathedral, and enjoy the panoramic views over the Mediterranean.

Later, return to Monte Carlo and walk along parts of the famous Monaco Grand Prix circuit.

On Sunday morning, there is still time for one final visit to Monaco, attend Mass at Monaco Cathedral, and then return to Nice for the flight back to Beirut.

Transportation between Nice and Monaco costs around thirty dollars in total.

Food can be kept simple, with around fifty dollars for the weekend.

That brings the total cost to approximately five hundred and fifty dollars.

For now, this trip remains in the planning stage.

But if the situation in Lebanon improves over the coming months, this could become the perfect birthday and Christmas gift to myself — all while missing just one day of work and being back before Monday.
