Meeting Princes and Princesses for Less than $650: 48 hours in Liechtenstein

Image
Have you ever dreamed of meeting real-life princes and princesses? What if I told you that you could visit one of the smallest countries in the world, celebrate with its royalty, spend the day eating and playing games, watch a spectacular fireworks show, and still be back home by Sunday night for less than seven hundred dollars? This time, the destination is Liechtenstein. A country hidden between Switzerland and Austria, known for its mountains, castles, and beautiful Alpine scenery. Every year on August 15, the Prince invites the entire country to a garden party at Vaduz Castle, the official residence of the royal family, to celebrate two important occasions: Liechtenstein's National Day and the Assumption of Mary, a holiday that is also celebrated in Lebanon. After doing some research, I found a round-trip flight from Beirut to Zurich for only three hundred and ninety-nine dollars. The flight leaves Lebanon on Friday, August 14 at 3:05 in the morning and arrives in Zurich at 1...

48 Hours in Monaco from Lebanon for $550

Have you ever thought about taking a special Christmas trip from Lebanon, experiencing the holiday atmosphere, and still being back to work by Monday? I know Christmas is still months away, but nothing beats planning ahead. And after doing the research, I may have found one of the most exciting weekend trips yet. It is time for Monaco. Monaco is one of those destinations that feels almost out of reach. Known for its iconic landmarks, beautiful coastline, and spectacular Mediterranean views, it is a place that many people dream of visiting. But with careful planning, it might be possible to experience it in just one weekend for around five hundred and fifty dollars. I found round trip flights from Beirut to Nice for three hundred and forty six dollars, traveling from December eleventh to the thirteenth. For accommodation, I chose ibis budget Nice AΓ©roport Promenade des Anglais. Two nights cost one hundred and nine dollars, with breakfast available for ten dollars. After arriving i...

Less than 48 hours in Cyprus from Lebanon (under $320)

“48 Hours in Cyprus for ~$315”  What if I told you that you could spend a weekend in Cyprus, still be back to work in Lebanon before Monday, and experience everything — including Mass — in just 48 hours? I found a round-trip flight for just $184 with Cyprus Airways. It leaves Beirut on June 6 at around 2 PM and returns on June 7 at around 9 PM — which gives us just over 30 hours on the ground. So every minute matters. Since we only have one night, we keep accommodation simple. I found a place called City View Rooms — a homestay in Larnaca , about 10 minutes from the airport. It’s also walking distance from Finikoudes Beach, Europe Square, and Saint Lazarus Church. It’s a private room with shared bathroom and kitchen, and in summer you really need to book early since places like this go fast. 🌊 DAY 1  As soon as you arrive and check in, you realize something immediately — everything is close. The city is walkable, and most of what you need is just a few min...

And with everything happening in the region right now, plus budget limitations, travel isn’t always realistic. So instead of waiting for the perfect moment, I started planning trips that fit into just 48 hours. This is how a weekend in Athens, Greece could look — on a budget of under $350. ✈️ Flights I found a roundtrip flight for $196 from Lebanon to Athens.
